The Parliament of India makes laws in India through a process called the legislative process. The process begins when a member of the Parliament introduces a bill. The bill is then referred to a committee for review and debate. If the committee approves the bill, it is then sent back to the house for a vote. If the bill passes in both the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha, it is sent to the President of India for his or her approval. If the President approves the bill, it becomes a law.
