The President has the power to summon and dissolve the Parliament, and he or she can also prorogue or adjourn the Parliament. The President can also address the Parliament, and he or she can send messages to either house of the Parliament. The President can also return a bill passed by the Parliament for further consideration, or he or she can withhold assent to a bill.
